Calderdale Adult Learning is hosting an open day event on Saturday 9 September from 9am – 3pm, to launch its latest programme.
Calderdale Adult Learning (CAL) offer a wide range of learning activities and courses, with more subject choice than ever before. As well as the chance to learn new skills, there’s also the opportunity to gain important qualifications in subjects like English and maths, and improve vital digital skills.
There’s also a wide variety of classes for adults with learning difficulties, and as well as a varied programme of evening classes, CAL also offer classes during the day, so you can fit your learning around your lifestyle.
The September open day event, at the Heath Campus in Halifax, offers people the chance to see the great facilities and courses on offer. Everyone is welcome and can just drop in at any time.
Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People’s Services, Cllr Megan Swift, said:
“The Adult Learning open day event is a great way to get a taste of the varied courses on offer at the Heath campus in Halifax. There’s no obligation, it’s just a chance to see for yourself the fantastic learning opportunities on offer.
“At this time of year some people may be returning from holidays abroad wishing they could speak the language, or are perhaps looking to gain qualifications, have a change of career or learn a new hobby. The range of courses this year is the best ever, so there really is something for everyone.”
There are lots of new courses available, so there’s plenty of choice if you’re looking to learn something new or open doors to future opportunities.
In every case, we tailor our courses to your needs and work with a range of specialist groups and organisations to ensure the courses offer support and guidance at every level.
The new CAL brochure is out now and can be found at www.calderdale.gov.uk/adultlearning. New courses will continue to be added throughout the year, so keep checking the website for all the latest additions.
