Congratulations to Calderdale students

Thumbs up

Calderdale students are celebrating today after receiving their GCSE results.

A complete picture of the results is still being finalised, but early indications are that a number of schools have made significant improvements on last year’s marks, particularly Trinity Academy, Todmorden High School and Calder High School.

Cllr Megan Swift, Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People’s Services, says:

“I’d like to congratulate all of our young people on their hard work and achievements. I also want to thank staff, governors and parents for their continued support, which makes learning in Calderdale so great. If you haven’t achieved the results you expected, don’t worry and don’t give up! There are lots of options out there, and plenty of support. I wish all students the very best in their future studies and careers.”
