On GCSE results day 2016, Cllr Megan Swift, Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People’s Services, said:
“We are delighted to see great improvements in Calderdale’s GCSE results compared to last year. Congratulations to all students, who we know have worked extremely hard. Our schools, academies, families and the Council work tirelessly to support young people to achieve their best. This has clearly paid off, and I’d like to thank everyone involved.
