Get moving with our festive fitness offer

December can be an easy time of year to overindulge, but to get a head start on those New Year’s resolutions (and work off those festive treats), why not take advantage of Calderdale Council’s December Membership offer?

This December, all Calderdale sports centres are offering discounts on adult annual memberships. If you pay for a year upfront, you’ll get 14 months membership for the price of 12 and if you choose to pay by Direct Debit you’ll pay nothing until February 2018, saving membership fees for up to two months. What’s more, if you join online, the joining fee will be reduced to just £5 saving you another £5.

Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods and Communities, Cllr Susan Press, said:

“January is the busiest time of the year for people taking out fitness memberships, but if you join this December not only can you beat the new year rush, you can also make great savings on the biggest fitness membership in Calderdale.”

This fantastic offer gives you access to five fitness centres across Calderdale – Halifax Pool, North Bridge Leisure Centre, Sowerby Bridge Pool and Fitness Centre, Brighouse Pool and Fitness Centre and Todmorden Sports Centre.

If that wasn’t enough, it also includes the use of four swimming pools, over 200 fitness classes across all the sites each week and full use of state-of-the-art gym equipment. Plus, there’s also squash, off-peak badminton, off-peak table tennis and tennis (where available).  Or kick back and relax for a while in our sauna/steam facilities at Halifax Swimming Pool and Todmorden Sport Centre.

There is also a special membership available for students who may be returning home for the Christmas break. This special one-month membership is just £25.95, and allows access to full membership benefits for four weeks.

We’re on a mission to make Calderdale the most active borough in the north of England by 2021. Being active has many benefits and the fully qualified staff at all our centres will be with you all the way to provide support, expert advice or help you reach specific fitness goals.

For more information, visit www.calderdale.gov.uk/sport from Friday 1 December.
