Guide is ticket to family activities

The latest edition of ‘Do Something!’, Calderdale Council’s activities guide, is out now, and packed full of family entertainment ideas, guaranteed to help beat the winter blues.

The January to Easter issue of Do Something! is a comprehensive guide to whats going on in Calderdale over the coming months, providing information for parents and children on a wide range of activities available at Calderdale leisure centres, libraries, museums and theatres.

The guide, which is also available on the Council’s website, is divided into colour-coded, easy to use sections with details of venues, times, prices and contact information. Many of the activities are free to attend, so there’s no excuse not to get out and about and discover what Calderdale has to offer.

Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for Communities, Cllr Pauline Nash, said:

” The Do Something! guide is a great way to find out about activities for families and children in Calderdale. There are so many fantastic events going on across the borough, the hardest part will be fitting them all in!”

So whether it’s getting active with archery, mountain biking or canoeing, being creative with art clubs, craft events or story-telling, or even taking part in a murder mystery afternoon, there’s bound to be something for everyone!

Do something! guides have been distributed to all Calderdale schools and are also available from any Calderdale library, sports centre or Council reception building, and online at Do Something!
