The next free taster tour of Todmorden Town Hall is on Sunday 2 September and as well as having a guided tour, visitors can also find out more about becoming a Friend of the Town Hall.
The Friends of Todmorden Town Hall scheme aims to bring people together to share their passion, skills and experience to help increase the profile of the Town Hall.
Visitors can find out more about scheme following the free taster tour, which will focus on the people who make Todmorden what it is today. There will be tea, coffee and cake and a presentation about being a Friend of Todmorden Town Hall.
Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for Communities and Neighbourhood Services, Cllr Susan Press, said:
“The latest tour of Todmorden Town Hall offers the chance to see this magnificent building and find out more about the people who make the Todmorden of today.
“Visitors can also help make the Todmorden of tomorrow by becoming a Friend of Todmorden Town Hall and you can find out more about this after the tour. There’s no obligation, but just a chance to find out more and enjoy a slice of cake!”
The tour starts at 2pm and visitors are asked to meet on the bridge opposite the pediment at the top of Halifax Road.
