Halifax BID is thrilled to announce the return of the Starlight Parade for its second year, bringing even more festive excitement to the heart of Halifax town centre. This year’s event has been made possible through the collaboration between Halifax BID, Culturedale, and Handmade Productions, and promises to be bigger and better than last year!
With the Starlight Parade’s success in its inaugural year, 2024 will see a change to the parade route that will include new areas of the town centre, allowing more of Halifax Town Centre to join in the celebrations. This exciting addition ensures that even more visitors can experience the magic of the parade, which has quickly become a cherished part of Halifax’s festive calendar.
This year’s Starlight Parade will take place on Saturday, 30th November 2024, starting at 4:00 PM, and will feature a dazzling array of lights, music, and performances to kick off the festive season in style. In the lead-up to the parade, visitors can also enjoy plenty of entertainment across town, ensuring a full day of fun for all ages.
Natalie Shaw, Project Manager at Halifax BID, said:
“We’re excited to introduce a new route for this year’s Starlight Parade, allowing more areas of Halifax town centre to join in the festive celebrations. By commissioning this event, we hope to spread the magic of Christmas and bring festive cheer to the town. It’s a wonderful opportunity for families and visitors to come together and enjoy the spirit of the season.”
The new route will highlight different sections of the town, accompanied by even more dazzling performances and interactive elements, ensuring a spectacular night for all.
Cllr Danielle Durrans, Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for Public Services and Communities, said:
“We’re excited to be supporting this landmark event as part of our ongoing Year of Culture, which continues to bring joy across Calderdale.
