
The Leader of Calderdale Council, Cllr Jane Scullion said:
“This is truly shocking news and our thoughts and condolences are with all of the people who have been affected. This is a despicable act on a day and in a place of such significance to the Jewish community.
“Our thanks go to the Emergency Services for their speedy and courageous response.
“We must all remain vigilant to these threats which seek to divide us. We join communities across the country in sending out a clear message that we will not let these senseless events drive us apart.”
