Pop up tourism shop comes to Brighouse

Halifax Visitor Centre

To celebrate the Tour de France coming to Calderdale, staff from the Halifax Visitor Centre are heading to Brighouse’s Totally Locally Victorian market, with their first ever pop up shop.

Staff will be available all day on Market Street, Brighouse, on Saturday 30November to talk all things tour, along with any other tourism enquiries you might have.

Whether you want to see where the route travels through Calderdale, find out how to volunteer to be a route maker, set up your own celebration event or find out what’s happening on the day both on and off route they are the people to ask.

Visitor Centre staff will have a whole range of information on what else is happening in the build up to the tour.  For the first time there will be a 100 day cultural festival leading up to the race, which is passing through Calderdale on the 6 July.  You can find out what’s happening where, how to get involved and even what funding is available to set up your own event.

Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for Communities, Cllr Steve Sweeney, said:

“Why not come along and say hello at our first tourism pop up shop.  Our knowledgeable staff will be able to help you with a wide range of information about the Tour de France in Calderdale.  This is an opportunity to check out the best places to see the tour, and also find out about the events going on across Calderdale during the 100 day cultural festival starting on the 27 March.”

Find the tourism pop up shop on Market Street in Brighouse town centre on Saturday 30 November.
