In response to the news that Halifax businesses voted in favour of renewing their status as a Business Improvement District (BID), securing £2.2 million to be spent on supporting businesses and working with the Council to develop Halifax even further, Council Leader Cllr Tim Swift said:
“This is great news for Halifax. I am delighted that local businesses have voted to continue to invest in supporting our town.
“Halifax is in an ambitious period of regeneration with unprecedented levels of investment, and the continuation of the BID will help to maximise the benefits for local businesses, local jobs and local communities. This announcement follows closely after the recent launch of our ‘Think you know Halifax?’ campaign, which showcases over £200 million of investment into the town. We’re delighted that Halifax BID can continue to be part of Halifax’s bright future and our shared inclusive economic recovery.”
