The Shibden Estate is getting in the festive spirit early, by hosting the annual Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 November.
Held in the magnificent setting of the Grade II* listed Shibden Hall, the Christmas Craft Fair will provide visitors with the perfect opportunity to make a start on the Christmas shopping.
Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods and Communities, Cllr Susan Press, said:
“Shibden Hall provides the perfect backdrop to the Christmas Craft Fair, and it’s a great way to start the festive season early and get into the Christmas spirit.
“There’ll be plenty of unique local products available, which could be perfect for those hard-to-buy-for friends and relatives. If that wasn’t enough, the fair also offers the opportunity to look around Shibden Hall, one of England’s oldest buildings.”
Now in its 15th year, Shibden Hall has gathered some of the best in local arts, crafts and produce for its annual Christmas Craft Fair.
There will be an array of stalls selling a variety of products, such as of locally produced pickles and preserves, delicious chocolate, handcrafted jewellery and leather goods and much, much more.
The Hall will be filled with locally based producers offering a wide range of goods, which make it the ideal place to find those unique Christmas gifts or special treats.
To add to the festive cheer, there will be performances from the Persephone Women’s Morris Dancers on the Sunday at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
Over the weekend, there will also be the reduced admission price of £2.50, with concessions £2 (Shibden Annual Pass holders go free).
The Shibden Hall Christmas Craft Fair is on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 November from 10am – 4pm. For more information or for enquiries email museums@calderdale.gov.uk or see www.calderdale.gov.uk/museums. #shibdenchristmascraftfair #shibdenhall
