Congratulations to GCSE students!

Cllr Adam Wilkinson outside Halifax Town Hall

On GCSE results day 2023, Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People’s Services, Cllr Adam Wilkinson, said:

“Congratulations to all the young people getting their GCSE results today!

“Reaching this milestone in their learning is a great achievement, especially because the pandemic affected much of the early part of their secondary school experience.

“Calderdale is known for its talent and resilience, and our students are an amazing example of these qualities.

“Well done too to the schools and families that have provided support throughout this challenging time.

“We want all of Calderdale’s young people to be happy and successful, to have hope and reach their potential. We want students to know that there are many options for this next stage in life, regardless of their GCSE results.
