Have your say on Council budget

Calderdale Council is inviting people to have their say on the Council’s budget for 2013/14 to 2015/16.

The draft budget proposals will be issued after the Council’s Cabinet meeting on Monday 14 January 2013. Once issued, the proposals will be subject to a public consultation process.

People are welcome to go to the following public meetings to find out what the budget proposals are, to ask questions and give feedback:

Upper Valley: Tuesday 15 January 2013 at The Waterfront Hall, Hebden Bridge Town Hall, St George’s Street, Hebden Bridge, HX7 7BY, 6.30pm – 8.30pm(doors open at 6.00pm)

Halifax Central: Wednesday 16 January 2013 in the Green Room, Victoria Theatre, Fountain Street, Halifax, HX1 1BP, 6.30pm – 8.30pm (doors open at 6.00pm)

Lower Valley: Tuesday 22 January 2013 at Brighouse Civic Hall, Brighouse, HD6 1RS, 6.30pm – 8.30pm(doors open at 6.00pm)

North and East: Thursday 24 January 2013 at Edward Hall, Forest Cottage Community Centre, Cousin Lane,Ovenden, HX2 8AD, 6.30pm – 8.30pm (doors open at 6.00pm)

Cabinet Members and Council staff will be there to discuss the proposals and listen to people’s views. After Cabinet on Monday 14 January, the draft budget proposals will be available on the Council’s website.

After the public consultation process, the budget proposals will be discussed at a full meeting of Budget Council on Monday 25 February 2013.
