The Shibden Estate is getting in the Christmas spirit, by opening its doors for a Christmas Food and Craft Fair on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 November.
There will be a variety of stalls over the weekend, offering a wide range of products from delicious homemade cakes, chutneys and jams to beautiful selections of jewellery, hand crafted leather goods and candles, to name but a few. It’s the perfect place to find interesting Christmas gifts in plenty of time for the big day.
Even if you’re not shopping for presents, you’ll find a tempting variety of festive fayre, which will be sure to get you in the seasonal spirit. Plus, most of the produce on sale has been made locally, supporting local businesses, growers and producers.
The Shibden Estate, just a mile from Halifax town centre, provides a spectacular backdrop for the Christmas Food and Craft market. The 600 year old medieval timber-framed manor house is the ideal setting for the fabulously festive fair, with decorated stalls and seasonal samples.
Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for Communities, Cllr Marcus Thompson, said:
“This festive market is the perfect opportunity to get organised for Christmas, you can buy gifts with a unique, local twist, or get into the Christmas spirit early with seasonal refreshments.
“Shibden Hall is a great place to visit any time of the year, but the whole estate has an extra special feel in the run up to Christmas.”
The event is running all weekend from 10am until 4pm with the reduced admission price of £2.50 for adults and £2 for concessions (Shibden annual pass holders go free).
