Calderdale is experiencing extensive flooding following record river levels and severe warnings are in place across the borough. The Council, Police, Fire & Rescue and Environment Agency have set up a Command Centre and will keep updating the public through social media. We are strongly advising residents not to travel as many route into the borough have been affected. Residents that live near waterways who are concerned about flooding in their areas can check the Environment Agency floodline on 0345 988 1188. Rest centres have are being opened in Halifax Town Centre, at Northbridge Leisure Centre, and Todmorden Town Hall. More details and updates are available through the Council’s social media accounts.
