We want to hear from you!

People's Commission

Calderdale Council’s People’s Commission Panel is asking local people to share their experiences of using local health and social care services.

Local health services are currently being reviewed by Calderdale’s Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). The People’s Commission will give local people an opportunity to debate what services are needed and will also collect and review evidence.

Leader of Calderdale Council, Cllr Tim Swift said:
“We would like to hear from you.  We want to hear about you and your family’s experiences of health and social care services; which health services you think should be provided locally; which you think should be provided from hospitals; and how you think we can make social care services for older people and people with disabilities as easy to use as possible.

“If you’d like to tell us about other social care services, that’s also fine.  We want to hear about whatever people feel is important about health and social care services in Calderdale.”

The People’s Commission will gather information from the public, from health and social care organisations and from the voluntary and private sectors in Calderdale.

If you would like to tell us about your experiences of local health or social care services and how you would like to receive services in future then contact the People’s Commission by Friday 1 August 2014:

·         By post to People’s Commission, Town Hall, Crossley Street, Halifax, HX1 1UJ
·         By email to peoplescommission@calderdale.gov.uk
·         Or on Twitter at @Calderdale using the hashtag #HealthyViews

The People’s Commission is expected to report its recommendations to Full Council and the CCG in autumn 2014.
