Two tickets for the Rugby League World Cup (RLWC) Final at Manchester Old Trafford on Saturday 30 November are up for grabs, courtesy of the Calderdale RLWC 2013 Consortium. One lucky winner and their friend will receive a ticket to see the cup final game. To be in with a chance of winning the tickets you simply have to explain in no more than 100 words why you feel it was important for Calderdale to host a Rugby League World Cup game and what your favourite moment was.
Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for Communications, Cllr Steve Sweeney, said:
“It was a great opportunity for Calderdale to host the Rugby League World Cup. We are delighted we sold out and there was a really amazing atmosphere on the day. This is a fantastic prize and it will be great to hear from people who were there at The Shay.”
Email your submission to info@rlwc2013calderdale.co.uk including your name, address and a daytime phone number. The closing date is midnight on Tuesday 26 November 2013. The competition is open to anybody, but under 18s will need to be accompanied to the final by an adult. You must be available on Saturday 30 November and able to arrive for the 2.30pm kick off. Winners must be able to make their own way to Old Trafford. The competition will be judged by members of the Calderdale Consortium and the winner will be told on Wednesday 27 November.
