Getting a head start on those New Year’s Resolutions is now a lot more appealing with Calderdale Council’s December sports offer.
It’s easy to over-indulge in the run up to Christmas, but to help work off those festive treats, Council sports centres are offering free months if you sign up in December.
This December, all Calderdale sports centres are offering discounts on adult annual memberships. If you pay for a year upfront, you’ll get 14 months membership for the price of 12 and if you choose to pay by Direct Debit you’ll only pay the £10 joining fee, with no monthly payments until February 2018. What’s more, if you join online, the joining fee will be reduced to just £5.
Calderdale Council’s Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods and Communities, Cllr Susan Press, said:
“January is always the busiest time for gym memberships, but with this great December offer you can get a head start on your fitness goals and save money!
“Being active has many benefits and we want to help people to be more active in any way they choose. With so much on offer at our sports centres, there really is something for everyone. Plus our fully qualified staff will be with you all the way to provide support and expert advice.”
Calderdale memberships include the use of five fitness centres across Calderdale – Halifax Pool, North Bridge Leisure Centre, Sowerby Bridge Pool and Fitness Centre, Brighouse Pool and Fitness Centre and Todmorden Sports Centre.
This means the membership covers the use of four swimming pools, over 200 fitness classes across all the sites each week and full use of state-of-the-art gym equipment. Plus, there’s also squash, off-peak badminton, off-peak table tennis and tennis (where available). Or kick back and relax for a while in the sauna/steam facilities at Halifax Swimming Pool and Todmorden Sport Centre.
There is also a special membership available for students who may be returning home for the Christmas break. This special one-month membership is just £25.95, and allows access to full membership benefits for 30 days.
Terms and conditions apply. For more information, visit www.calderdale.gov.uk/sport from Saturday 1 December
